Second straight win vaults Pedregon from third to first in Funny Car standings

LAS VEGAS -- Cruz Pedregon moved into first place in the 2008 Funny Car series standings after winning the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals on Sunday. Pedregon, who came in as the third-place holder in the series standings with 22 of 24 races completed, eliminated Robert Hight with a time of 4.100 at 304.67 mph in the final round.
