World Series needs warmth, neutral site

My first memories of the World Series, from 1973 and 1974, are vivid. I remember watching Willie Mays stare into the sun as he tried unsuccessfully to track a fly ball, then seeing him plead without success after a Mets teammate -- Bud Harrelson, I think -- was thrown out at the plate.
