BATON ROUGE, La. -- C.J. Byrd scored on a 3-yard run in the second overtime to lift Southern to a 31-24 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday night. Byrd's score held up as Southern's Gary Blackmon intercepted Gyona Turner on Arkansas-Pine Bluff's next possession to end the game. Warren Matthews threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Juamorris Stewart and ran for an 8-yard touchdown for the Jaguars (5-4, 4-1 Southwest Athletic Conference).
