Steeplechase star could emerge from novice ranks

By now, most racing fans have at least heard of the top steeplechaser Good Night Shirt. He won the Eclipse Award in 2007 and is a lock to do so again in 2008 with four Grade 1 victories in as many tries. But who else is out there? "Novice" steeplechasers meet in a Grade 1 stakes Saturday at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga., to help find out where the next round of top steeplechasers will come from.
