Week 9 in fantasy football is similar to Thanksgiving week in the real world. It is a point of demarcation where everyone pretty much knows his fate. An NFL team knows there are only four more games to go once the holiday is over, and if it doesn't have at least six wins at that point, it's almost certainly not going to make the playoffs.
