Thursday, October 30, 2008 Sometimes they were college students grabbing a run between classes. Other times they were young working stiffs letting off steam after a day on the job. They weren't necessarily great ballplayers-this was France, after all-but their feistiness and size made for good competition, especially for a couple of youngsters who were always looking for a game.
