The Hawaiian contest season is officially underway. Kind of makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Sunset was overhead today for the Excel Pro presented by Honolua Surf Co. Conditions look so inviting, but anyone who's ever paddled out to Sunset knows how difficult it is to navigate those shifting bowls and inconvenient flat spots. Kind of onshore as things progressed.
