Thomas Vanek is tied for the league lead with seven goals, and goalie Ryan Miller is fourth in the NHL with a 1.45 goals-against average. The Sabres' special teams also have been outstanding, allowing just one power-play goal in the 30 times they've been short-handed. We also have new residents in the Rankings basement.
