Tuesday, October 21, 2008 LINZ, Austria -- Fifth-seeded Nadia Petrova and sixth-seeded Marion Bartoli advanced to the second round of the Generali Ladies on Tuesday. Petrova, who won the tournament in 2005, rallied to beat Kateryna Bondarenko of Ukraine 3-6, 6-3, 6-1. The 13th-ranked Russian lost just two points on serve in the final set. Bartoli improved to 3-5 against Ai Sugiyama by beating the Japanese player 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (8). The 17th-ranked Frenchwoman failed to convert five break-point chances in the second set ...
