Is it me, or has the official ASP statistician been really busy rewriting surfing's record books? After all the new accomplishments on the Men's Dream Tour, a new record was set yesterday, as 14-year-old Tyler Wright became the youngest ever surfer to win an ASP World Tour event. Wright iced Silvana Lima, of Peru (almost ten years her elder at 23) 13.64 — 12.84, in the finals of the Beachley Classic. This event had the highest points and prize purse of the year.
