There is a reason hockey can be so unpredictable at the start of the season, and it's a very simple reason: line combinations. Coaches tinker and fiddle all preseason and training camp, and when the regular season begins, the coaches often never serve us the meal they hinted at preparing. Montreal will be my case in point.
