West Virginia QB White misses Syracuse game with head injury

West Virginia quarterback Pat White was ruled out to play against Syracuse on Saturday. White, a Heisman candidate throughout the 2007 season for the Mountaineers (3-2, 1-0 Big East), suffered a head injury while taking a hit to the helmet last week in a 24-17 victory over Rutgers. Doctors ruled White, who never ran plays in practice this week, did not sustain a concussion.
