VIENNA -- Gael Monfils upset second-seeded Fernando Gonzalez 6-3, 7-6 (2) Friday to reach the semifinals of the BA Tennis Trophy. The eighth-seeded Frenchman will play Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany, who defeated fifth-seeded Fernando Verdasco of Spain 6-2, 6-3. "I was focused from the first ball to the last," said Monfils, who reached his fourth semifinal of the year.
