Thursday, October 2, 2008 METZ, France -- Seventh-seeded Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic beat France's Michael Llodra 6-7 (5), 6-1, 7-6 (0) on Thursday to advance to the Open de Moselle quarterfinals. Stepanek dominated the deciding tiebreak to reach his first quarterfinals since the clay-court Rome Masters in May. Stepanek will face Argentina's Eduardo Schwank, who outlasted Romania's Victor Hanescu 7-6 (6), 6-7 (5), 6-3.
