Page 2 Thursday, September 25, 2008 As you've followed the pennant races this year, you've probably noticed those "DIV," "WC," and "POFF" columns that have been added to ESPN.com's MLB standings. They refer to the odds of a given team winning its division, winning the wild card, and making the postseason, respectively. Those numbers come from an operation called coolstandings.com, which generates the probabilities by simulating the regular season one million times every single day (for more on how they do this, look here and here ...
