SEATTLE -- Mark Teixeira and the Los Angeles Angels are zeroing in on home-field advantage for the playoffs. Teixeira's home run with two outs in the eighth inning lifted Los Angeles to a 6-5 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night. The Angels (98-60) maintained their edge over Tampa Bay (96-62), which beat Baltimore 11-6, for the best record in the American League.
