RALEIGH, N.C. -- Tomas Fleischmann scored twice and the Washington Capitals got their exhibition season off to a good start with a 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night. Matt Bradley and Mathieu Perreault also scored and Viktor Kozlov added two assists for the Capitals. Defenseman Joni Pitkanen scored with a two-man advantage for the Hurricanes.
