Finally it's about to happen -- real football resumes on Thursday night. Not a moment too soon! Since the football artificial universe kicks off with college, let's pause to consider one of the defects of big-college football: the cupcake schedule. In the NFL, all teams play the same number of home and away games -- but in the NCAA, many football factories play mostly at home. Obviously, this is what the boosters like.
