SEATTLE (AP) -- Greg Smith and Brad Ziegler are rookies, yet they are already in step with the rest of the American League. They love facing the Seattle Mariners. Smith allowed four hits over six innings for his first win since June, and Ziegler got out of his own bases loaded jam in the bottom of the ninth as the Athletics beat Seattle 2-0 on Thursday night.
