ESPN.com Wednesday, August 20, 2008 New Mexico has been placed on three years' probation after the NCAA found its football program guilty of academic fraud during the spring and fall semester of 2004 and '05. During that time, three members of the coaching staff, two who are no longer with New Mexico, aided four prospective student-athletes and one then-student-athlete to enroll in and improperly obtain course credit from another four-year institution, Fresno Pacific University.
