Special to ESPN.com Tuesday, August 19, 2008 The Wyndham Championship was a big deal for Carl Pettersson, who won for the first time since 2006 and did so by two strokes while playing in his adopted home state, North Carolina. The N.C State grad turned in a sterling 64 on Thursday, bested it with an outrageous 61 on Friday and then simply played solid golf, overcoming back-to-back bogies to start the back nine on Sunday to win down the stretch.
