STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Anabel Medina Garrigues reached the quarterfinals at the Nordic Light Open, winning on her 26th birthday and presented with a cake on center court Thursday after her straight-sets victory over a qualifier. Medina Garrigues, seeded fifth, defeated Barbora Zahlavova Strycov of the Czech Republic 6-1, 6-1.
