Kuznetsova withdraws from Carson event with a leg injury

CARSON, Calif. -- Svetlana Kuznetsova withdrew from the East West Bank Classic because of a leg injury, joining Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport on the sideline. "I am so sad not to be able to play L.A. this year, especially as L.A. is one of my favorite tournaments," the Russian player said in a statement Sunday.
