Special to ESPN.com Friday, July 18, 2008 The Phillies traded three prospects from their already-thin farm system for Oakland starter Joe Blanton on Thursday in an effort to keep pace with the red-hot Mets atop the National League East. Blanton provided his owners with 230 innings of sub-4.00 ERA last season, but this year is just 5-12 with a 4.96 mark and has actually had negative value so far in 2008.
