I whiffed on Matt Holliday. I always hold myself accountable for everything I write, and there are no excuses -- my call on Holliday was one of the worst calls I've made in evaluating players. It's not like I was the only one who thought Holliday might not make it, and in retrospect, such thoughts were defensible, considering that between 1999 and 2003, he put up just one season in the minors with an OPS of more than .800, and even that season was shortened by injury.
