Wednesday, July 9, 2008 ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Washington Capitals agreed to terms with Sergei Fedorov for a one-year, $4 million contract and rewarded forward Brooks Laich's career season with a three-year, $6.1 million deal on Wednesday. Fedorov, the 1994 league MVP, was one of three trade deadline acquisitions that helped the Capitals end a five-year playoff drought last season.
