PALERMO, Sicily -- Third-seeded Aravane Rezai and No. 6 Yanina Wickmayer were upset in the first round of the Palermo International on Tuesday. Rezai was beaten by Rossana de los Rios of Paraguay 6-4, 6-1 and Wickmayer wasted three match points in the second set before falling to Georgian qualifier Margalita Chaknashvili 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4.
