Wednesday, July 2, 2008 DENVER -- Jeff Francis went on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with shoulder inflammation, leaving the Colorado Rockies without their Opening Day starter. Francis felt soreness in his left shoulder during a bullpen session on Tuesday. He had an MRI on Wednesday, and the Rockies put him on the DL to let his arm rest. "We think it's the best thing for him," manager Clint Hurdle said. "It gives him rest and a chance to be 100 percent healthy the next time he goes out there and actually work on ...
