No extension for Hornets' Paul but sides are very close

WESTWEGO, La. -- Chris Paul left the New Orleans Hornets training center on Wednesday afternoon without a new contract extension in place, but his agent remained optimistic the deal would be completed without much trouble -- even if it took longer than anticipated.
