Perno earns raise, new contract after CWS appearance

ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia baseball coach David Perno earned a raise and a five-year contract after leading the Bulldogs to the Southeastern Conference regular-season championship and a runner-up finish in the College World Series. Georgia athletic director Damon Evans announced the five-year, $2.25 million deal Wednesday after Perno coached the Bulldogs to their third College World Series appearance in the last five seasons.
