Hougaard, a former table tennis player, traded in his paddle for a poker table and won his first WSOP bracelet in Event 36, the $1,500 no-limit hold 'em event. Hougaard, a 24-year-old professional poker player from Denmark, defeated a field of 2,447 players to win the first place prize of $610,304.
