As the father of two children, there is something I've learned about timing. If I am going to ask them to do anything -- clean their rooms, take a bath, rehearse a hip-hop dance routine so I can trot them out for one of those reality talent competitions -- I have to do it before they hear the sound of the ice cream truck's music coming around the corner.
