Ahhh, the life of the carefree bass angler. For decades, I traveled all over the U.S. and Mexico in pursuit of largemouth, smallmouth, spotted and peacock bass. Carried more tackle than luggage. Ate canned weenies and soggy sandwiches late in the evening after coming off the water — along with an adult beverage or two. Accommodations ranged from tents to trucks to cabins.
