It's not lonely at the top of the Bassmaster Southern Open points race, which determines qualifying spots for the 2009 Bassmaster Classic and Elite Series. The outcome of last week's Southern Open event on South Carolina's Santee Cooper Reservoir created a 79-point spread between first and 10th. That makes for an interesting race, considering a pro can earn up to 315 points in one event. The final event of the three-tournament series is set for Oct. 16-18 on Alabama's Lake Guntersville.
