Monday, April 28, 2008 While many of us wondered whether or not Johnny Dawkins would ever leave the friendly confines of Durham and test his coaching skills elsewhere, this hire makes complete sense. Stanford and Duke have been recruiting many of the same players for years and while Duke gets the pick of the litter, Stanford will still have "dibs" on the West Coast elite student athletes who are not going to Duke or UCLA. Dawkins would be wise to keep the entire staff at Stanford, since they did a terrific job ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
