CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Serena Williams advanced to the third round Tuesday at the Family Circle Cup, defeating unseeded Gisela Dulko of Argentina in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. It was a better start than last year at the Family Circle, where Williams had to withdraw after a groin pull in her first match.
