This weekend, I got to attend the Toward the Great Expanse show at the Montanaro Gallery in Newport (R.I.) featuring the work of Julie Goldstein and Ty Williams. First off, Mike and Elizabeth Montanaro (expecting a bambino any day now) are about the most gracious hosts you can possibly encounter at an art show. I heard the term "whimsical" used a few dozen times at this show, and it really represents both artists very well. Williams has lived everywhere from the Caribbean to Florida, to Ma ...
