KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. -- Jelena Jankovic advanced to the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Open when Elena Dementieva retired with a back injury trailing 6-3, 3-1 on Wednesday. Dementieva said her back began bothering her Tuesday. She received courtside treatment from a trainer during the match before calling it quits after 58 minutes.
