DETROIT -- Every day after school, Chris Douglas-Roberts would walk the short distance from his home in crumbling southwestern Detroit to Kronk Gym. Kronk was a famous training ground for boxers, producing world champion Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns and dozens of other great fighters.
