Sunday, March 23, 2008 Every year Michigan State is a terrific defensive team for two reasons: The Spartans play good team defense, and they have good individual defenders that do an excellent job guarding the ball. In their first game of the NCAA tournament, they beat a Temple team that had won seven games in a row and had just won the A-10 tournament title.
