The Selection Committee did a pretty good job this year. I am a conspiracy theorist at heart. Yet, Ohio State AD Gene Smith did not get help, and his Buckeyes were left out of the field ... and rightfully so. Smith's committee presence led many to believe that OSU would make it. Meanwhile, VCU was rightly left out, despite winning 12 road/neutral games and a Colonial Athletic Association regular-season title by three games.
