KENT, Ohio (AP) -- Mike Scott had a double-double Tuesday night, and Kent State clinched the top seed in the Mid-American Conference tournament with a 50-39 victory over Miami of Ohio, which was missing coach Charlie Coles. The Golden Flashes (24-6, 12-3) tied a school record with their 24th regular-season victory, matching their mark from 2001-02, and finished their home season at 16-0.
