Last weekend, David Wells pitched again, in a game. There were hitters, there were fielders. And Wells wasn't in Florida or Arizona. No, Wells took the mound in the alumni game at his alma mater, Point Loma High School, in San Diego, agent Gregg Clifton reported on Monday afternoon. "He wants to play," said Clifton. "He told me, 'If I didn't feel good and I didn't want to play, I wouldn't be out here.' " Wells is 44 years old now, coming off a season in which he was cut by the San Diego Padres ...
