BOGOTA, Colombia -- Teen wild card Mariana Duque Marino advanced to the quarterfinals in her hometown Copa Colsanitas, upsetting fifth-seeded Yvonne Meusburger 6-1, 6-2 on Wednesday in the clay-court tournament. The 18-year-old Duque Marino, into her first WTA Tour last eight, will face Maria Emilia Salerni of Argentina, who beat Maria Elena Camerin of Italy 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in 2 hours, 15 minutes.
