(AP) -- Anthony Smith led five Liberty players in double figures with 18 points and the Flames used a big second half to coast past the University of North Carolina-Asheville 83-54 on Saturday night, handing the Big South-leading Bulldogs their first league loss. Vincent James gave UNC Asheville a 39-38 lead on a layup with 17:16 left in the game before the Flames went on a 13-2 run to take control. Liberty outscored the Bulldogs 52-25 in the second half.
