No one could knock mighty USC from the top of the Pac-10 mountain in 2007. California came close with an early season run but fell apart in the second half of the season and wound up finishing in the bottom half of the league standings. Neither Cal nor any of the other teams that finished in the bottom half of the Pac-10 will challenge USC for the recruiting title either.
