NEW YORK (AP) -- Just as they did last spring, the Atlanta Thrashers proved to be the perfect foil for the New York Rangers. A year ago, the Rangers were searching for their first playoff series victory since 1997 and they got it in a big way with a sweep of the Thrashers. Now trying to snap out a slump that is threatening New York's return to the postseason, the Rangers responded to their angry coach's message and took their frustration out on Atlanta.
