More than anyone in San Diego would want to acknowledge, Bill Belichick has played a big role in the recent history of the Chargers. Last year, the Patriots beat the Chargers in the playoffs after San Diego's 14-2 regular-season mark. Frustrated by two playoff losses in three years, the Chargers fired Marty Schottenheimer.
