Tuesday, January 15, 2008 ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- Michael Jenkins scored 12 points and had six rebounds to help Winthrop to a 55-48 win over Liberty on Tuesday night. The Eagles (10-7, 1-1 Big South Conference) led throughout the second half. The Flames (8-9, 0-2) were down just 42-40 with eight minutes to go, but Winthrop went on a 9-3 run and took a 51-43 lead on Jenkins' 3-pointer with 1:23 to go.
