Page 2 Monday, November 19, 2007 It was the year of the Red Sox. It was the year of A-Rod. It was the year of the Rockies' run for the ages. It was the year of Barry Bonds, in more ways than one. It wasn't quite the year for the Cubs. And, of course, it was a year for predictions. The American League announced Alex Rodriguez as its MVP on Monday, which is no surprise -- 10 of 18 ESPN.com experts predicted before the season he would win the MVP award.
